The workbook

Your ChatGPT workbook.

A short working session for you and your team, about 30 minutes. Don't just read it, fill it in. By the end you'll have your first three tasks chosen, a prompt library started, and a one-page rule for using ChatGPT safely. Type straight into the boxes and save as a PDF, or print it and write on it.

The recipe, in brief. ChatGPT is a brilliant brain you chat with (clever, occasionally and confidently wrong). The better you set the scene, the better the draft you get back: give it context, a role, an example of your style, and the format you want, then refine in the same chat. Save what works as a prompt, or, on a paid or Team plan, as a Custom GPT. Keep a human on anything customer-facing, factual, legal or financial.
1Where could ChatGPT save you time?

Brain-dump the repetitive writing and admin jobs your team would happily speed up. Don't filter yet. Quantity first.

2Your first three tasks to trial this week

Pick three from above that are frequent, low-stakes if a draft isn't perfect, and built on words rather than your private systems. Three real jobs beats a vague plan to "use AI more".

3Your prompt library

As you trial each task, keep the prompts that reliably get a good result. This is the start of a library you and your team reuse instead of starting from a blank page.

4Custom GPTs to build

Once a prompt earns its keep, it's a candidate for a Custom GPT (paid or Team plan). Set it up once with your tone and reference info so everyone gets a consistent, on-brand result.

5Your one-page AI rules

A little governance lets people use ChatGPT with confidence instead of guessing. Keep it to these four lines.
